Papers, audiotapes, lantern slides, and artifacts, including hearing and recording devices, relating to his work in speech and hearing at Brigham Young University. Some items, including magazines, relate to his travel and community interests. Includes recordings of oral history interviews with his mother, Maria J. Morley; also recording of funeral of his mother-in-law, Myrtle M. Stewart. Also includes components to multimedia presentation by Sir Victor Negus of London.

Biographical History
Alonzo J. Morley (1903-1995) was a member of Brigham Young University faculty beginning in 1928. Received Ph.D. in speech pathology from University of Iowa. Taught at BYU for fifty-four years, including classes in drama and debate. Founded speech and hearing clinic at BYU.

Victor Negus presentation donated by Alonzo J. Morley, 1987. Remainder of collection donated by Morley's daughter, Marilyn M. Washburn, 1998. In a few instances items, including family audio recordings, were copied and originals returned to Marilyn Washburn.
