Autobiographies, miscelleanous notes, and diary of Joseph William Watkins
Scope and Contents
This collection consists of autobiographies and autobiographical notes and sketches by Oscar Watkins. These materials also contain miscellaneous notes relating to Watkin's family history and genealogy and to financial transactions and land boundary questions. Also included is the diary of Joseph William Watkins (1854-1888) for the years 1885-1888. A photocopy of this journal is also available in the collection. The account book of Golden Howlett of Alpine, Utah for the years 1882-1884 is also with the materials. It contains notations of births, deaths, and marriages in that community. Meeting minutes of the Grants Pass, Oregon Branch of the Mormon Church for the year 1936 are also included.
