Adolphus Freeman letter

Handwritten and signed letter, dated December 16, 1849, and composed in Bloomfield, Illinois. Freeman writes to his brother, William Freeman, in Sacramento, California. Adolphus tells about attempting to acquire land and working for wages. He also inquires about the prospects of moving to California.
