States that he has not heard from them in four weeks and now he has heard that they are all sick and it makes him sad; Sister Stout is with child through adultery by John J. Tanner. [Rest of this letter is missing.] 2) Letter to Margaret from John Corrill. States that news has arrived that people are very sick in Clay County; asks Margaret to tell him about the troubles and sicknesses of the family so that he can pray for them; mentions the "affair of Sister Stout" as being very unhappy.
