Volume is bound in light brown over thick cardboard, with pink and black circles of varying sizes and levels of perfection. Pages are thick and lined in blue, with text written in black ink. There are 160 numbered pages, with four blank.

Diary written by Huntington between 1845 and 1846. Includes a personal history recounting events of his life, including his childhood, his family's conversion to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and his experiences in Kirtland, Ohio, Missouri, and Nauvoo, Illinois. Includes accounts of the loss of his farm at Kirtland to Jacob Bump, his baptism by Hyrum Smith, keeping members and "the mummies" at their house, their move to Far West on May 1, 1838, Haun's Mill, Danites, leaving Adam-ondi-Ahman for Far West, Joseph Smith's experience in Liberty Jail, the move of Commerce, Illinois, his ordination by John Taylor, the martyrdom of Joseph Smith, and his interactions with Emma Smith, Brigham Young, and the "Rigdonites". Among these reminiscent accounts also appear journal entries describing Huntington's daily activities and his travels to serve a mission in England. Also includes clippings of two newspaper articles, one on a letter purportedly written by Jesus Christ and an obituary of Dimick Baker Huntington.
