Variants of the story about the missionary who was healed by the wrong source / Michele Critchfield, 1993
Scope and Contents
Michele Critchfield collected personal narratives describing variants of the story of a Latter-day Saint missionary who was healed by an evil power rather than priesthood power. The variants all include a missionary who has an injury, is healed by a witch doctor or someone with the wrong kind of authority, and when the mission president realizes the mistake, he gives the missionary a blessing and the injured limb re-breaks. Project was written for an English 372 class taught at Brigham Young University during Winter semester 1992.
