Scope and Contents

Angela Ashurst collected variants of the story of sister missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints being protected by divine messengers. Included are variants in which a sister missionary companionship teach a man who is a rapist or murderer, but doesn't harm them because of the strong men (sometimes several, of varying descriptions) who apparently accompanied them. Project was written for an English class taught at Brigham Young University during Fall semester 1992.
