Scope and Contents

Christina Rousseau collected personal narratives of sister missionaries and their working relationship with the men in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Included are stories of arrogant Zone leaders, rivalries between sister and elder mission companionships, women being discouraged from serving a mission, and mission romances. Also included are two audiocassette tapes containing informant interviews. Project was written for an English 391 class taught at Brigham Young University during Fall semester 1991.
