Scope and Contents

Pamela P. Brown collected personal narratives of wives' tales about pregnancy. Included are stories of helps with conception, signs of pregnancy, what to eat, avoiding miscarriage, baby's hair, misfortunes of pregnant women, determining the baby's sex, and starting labor. Project was written for an English 391 class taught at Brigham Young University during Winter semester 1990.
