Material contains papers of Charles Claten Branham, regarding his service in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1942-1947. Contains a memoir written by Branham (circa 1999) that describes his fighting in St. Lo and Brest, France. He describes being wounded in Maastritch, Holland. Contains photographs of Branham in 1942 and of Brest and St. Lo in 1944. Contains photographs of Branham's visits to monuments and memorial sites in France and England in 1997 and 1999. Also contains newspaper articles about Branham's war memories and his participation in D-Day memorials in England and Bedford, Virginia (1998-2000). Dated 1942-1944, 1997-2002.
