Scope and Contents

Gayle Huffaker collected personal narratives about the folk history of Manassa, Colorado. Included are descriptions of Manassa in 1920, the wealthiest man in Manassa buying himself a Model-T Ford, and the famous fighter Jack Dempsey ("The Manassa Mauler"). Project was written for an English 397 class in 1971.
