Scope and Contents

Christine Stone collected personal narratives of threats used to scare or threaten children into behaving. Included are stories of using physical items like belts or wooden spoons on a child, counting, telling a parent, and miscellaneous oral threats. Project was written for an English 392 class taught at Brigham Young University during Winter 1989.
