Scope and Contents note
Folder contains newspaper clippings, legislative bills, statements, correspondence, and congressional records from 1968 concerning the Water Rights Act of 1968 which would define Federal-State water rights in the United States, particularly in the Western United States. Statements mostly concern Senate Interior Committee hearings held in Salt Lake City, Utah, 1 May 1968 dealing with a water law bill which would define the rights of various levels of government in water matters.
