Scope and Contents note
Materials contain a brief history of Kenneth Larson's involvement service in the U.S Army during World War II. Discusses his induction, assignment, training, and deployment on the front lines in Belgium. Includes an account of his combat experience in the Battle of the Bulge; his capture; care in German hospitals; and imprisonment in the Stalag X1-B POW camp in Fallingbostel, Germany. Also contains an article, published in a veteran's newsletter, summarizing his combat and prisoner-of-war experiences. Includes numerous editorials, submitted by Larson, in local newspapers. Also includes a list of his published books, synopses of the books' contents, and related correspondence. Photographs include: Larson in full military dress and in his later years, and Larson's wife. Dated 1943-2001.
