Letter and newspaper clipping, 1890
Scope and Contents
Handwritten and signed letter, dated 25 Jan. 1890, and addressed to B. W. Austin. Blyden responds to a request for information and states "I send the following extract from my book." He also states, "The United States have furnished Africa with the most effective instrument of unlimited progress and development in the Republic of Liberia." Also included is a printed biography of Blyden which was clipped from a newspaper.
