Handwritten and signed letter, dated December 3, 1897, addressed to Barton Orville Aylesworth, and composed in Boston, Massachusetts. Adams thanks Aylesworth for "your volume, 'Song and Fable'" and mentions his own book "Dictionary of American Authors."
Also included is the envelope used to send the letter and a clipping from a magazine or newspaper outlining Adams' life and writing career.
