Scope and Contents

Materials include separation and discharge papers, orders, maps, a war stamp album, program for graduation exercises from his officer's class and certificate of completion, notice, memo and certifcate signed by President Harry Truman of the awarding of the Bronze Star Medal, two infantry histories, "Philippine Expeditionary Force" by Gasei (a Japanese prograganda publication), and pictures of or belonging to Wallance Hess regarding his service in the United States Army during World War II. Dated 1943 to 1950.
