Materials contain a transcribed interview with Alexander Morris regarding his service in the Red Cross and the British Army Medical Corps in England during World War II from 1939-1946. Interview was conducted as part of the Nurses at War Project. Talks about being drafted into the army, training in Clairvo Castle in Yorkshire, traveling all over England, and being assigned to a medical unit. Describes the situation at Normandy Beach the day after D-Day and taking care of the wounded on the beach. Also talks about his involvement in the Battle of the Bulge, healing many and watching others die from shock. Talks about his last location in Nymegan, Germany, and going back to England at the end of the war. Discusses his involvement in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as a young boy when his parents were not members and finding American members during the war. Talks about immigrating to America and being asked to return to England to set up more branches of the Church. Discusses his employment after the war, service in the Church, and taking care of Apostle, Elder Bowen, before his death. Also includes copied photographs and military certificates (1939-1943).
