This project contains a collection of traditions and stories about birthdays. The analysis overviews the foods, songs, company, privileges, and other traditions that are associated with birthdays and birthday parties. The collector believes that each birthday tradition reinforces individuality and helps a person feel special and loved. Includes a CD with an audio file of the family singing a version of the song "Happy Birthday." Collected by Karissa West, Dr. Eliason's ENGL 392 class, Winter 2009. Includes a compact disc.
