Scope and Contents note

Folder contains legislative acts and bills, newspaper clippings, correspondence, reports, congressional records, press releases, pamphlets, maps, and statements from 1956 and 1963 to 1964 pertaining to details, plans, and authorization of the Dixie Project in Utah. Much of the correspondence comes from proponents of the long-awaited passage of the Dixie Project bill which would help develop the water resources of the Virgin and Santa Clara Rivers in the Western United States.
