"The wise man built his house upon the rock" : a study of variations on actions accompanying Latter-day Saint primary children's songs / Ruth Miller, 2008
Scope and Contents note
This project is a collection of variations of actions for Mormon primary songs. The analysis describes the background and role of primary songs, their purpose in teaching, and the informal transmission of hand actions for many of the songs. Items collected include: "Book of Mormon Stories," "Once there was a Snowman," "Popcorn Poppin," and "The Wise Man and the Foolish Man". The items include interviews about what the informants believe about the actions, and comment about other versions or variations. Data collected from ten informants. Collected by Ruth Miller, Dr. Rudy's ENGL 392 class, Fall 2008.
