Scope and Contents note

This project is a collection of children's songs and how they form a part of family and cultural heritage. The analysis claims that children's songs give insight to the transmission of family and American culture. Songs collected include: Play Mate, Buffalo Girls, Little Sir Echo, Turkey in the Straw, When the Red, Red Robin Comes Bob, Bob Bobbin' Along, You are my Sunshine, Horsey Horsey, I Like to Sweep with my Little Broom, Mighty Mighty, The Farmer Had a Farm, Grandpa's Version of Brahm's Lullaby, Mares Eat Oats, and Play Mate. Collected by Whitlie Murdoch, Dr. Rudy's ENGL 392 class, Fall 2008.
