Are you a storyteller? : a look into modern oral folklore after the bard / Carson Johanson, 2009
Scope and Contents note
This project takes a look into the present state of oral folklore. The analysis claims that storytelling is an important part of social interaction and compares it to the historical role of a bard. Also comments on the collector's personal interest in storytelling, the methodology in collecting the information, and the cultural context. Also details each informant and how these stories make them storytellers. Collection of folklore items include personal narratives and follow-up questions from the collector. Collected by Carson Johanson, Dr. Thursby's ENGL 391 class, Winter 2009.
