 Item — Box: 354, Folder: 2
Identifier: FA 1 Item 4325

Scope and Contents note

This project discusses how certain foods are associated with celebrating holidays, as well as how eating certain foods becomes ritual for certain events. The analysis notes how many stories about food fit into categorized groups: humor (nostalgia), exclusion, inclusion, celebration, and commemoration. Also notes how food as folklore influences the formation of folklore groups and identity. Collected by Julie Carole Burningham, Dr. Rudy's ENGL 495 class, Winter 1999.
