 Item — Box: 352, Folder: 6
Identifier: FA 1 Item 4294

Scope and Contents note

This project is a collection of stories and photos of artifacts relating to the Thomas Rhoades' Spanish Uinta Gold. It gives stories that claim that the Spanish had gold mines in Salt Lake Valley before the Mormon pioneers had arrived. The collector claims that tree symbols and maps are evidence of the mines' existence. The analysis also comments on gold mine protection stories and unanswered questions regarding the gold mines. Collected by Mark Wagner, Dr. Deirdre Paulsen's ENGL 391 class, Fall 2007.
