Materials contain the life history of Mattie Eula Webb (Polly) Block. Tells of her experiences during the depression, working and her medical conditions. Tells of her conversion to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints while working at a munitions plant in Texarkana. Also details her married life, raising a family, and influential work as a midwife. Her husband, Andrew Block, served in World War II. Also describes working at Kelly Field, at San Antonio, Texas, as a newspaper reporter, and a bomb and munitions plant in Texas and at Eastman Kodak Co. in Chicago, developing v-mail from overseas to families in the states. Dated 1999.
