A woman had come in the night to replace me / Eve Eddington, 2007
Scope and Contents note
This project is a collection of interviews and stories related to menstruation. The narratives collected deal with how the individuals found out about menstruation, how open their family was with that information, and (for the females) what their first period was like. The also author gives a short but detailed history of the education about menstruation and the cross gender taboos. The informants in the study are nine females and six males between the ages of 20 and 25. Collected by Eve Eddington, Dr. Jacqueline Thursby's ENGL 356 class, Fall 2007.
