Scope and Contents note

This project contains participant's answers to a survey about literature they had read and the themes of courtship and marriage found in literature. Analysis paper topics include: "The Importance of Family in the LDS Culture," "Why Study Family Life?" "The Effect of Literature on the Average LDS Reader," and "Weddings and Literature: Field Research." Survey questions include: "What sort of materials (if any) have you read related to marriage/relationships/weddings? What? When? Why?" "Were these materials useful? Did they influence your perspective? How?" "Have you ever created a wedding binder/portfolio/notebook? If so, what was in it?" and "Does your family have any unique/unusual wedding/engagement traditions?" Collected by Annie Jacobs, Dr. Jacqueline Thursby's ENGL 495, Summer 2007.
