Cannon's account "Calls to Serve" which is a supplement to "Beachheads in Micronesia: A view of the proselytizing efforts of Mormon Missionaries who followed the liberating campaigns of military forces of the United States in Micronesia." Describes how Cannon was an Latter-Day Saint mission president in Hawaii from 1975-1978. Includes many eye witness accounts about the war era and Pacific island invasion strategies and makes a parallel to war preparations and gospel preaching preparation. Dated 2000.
