This project contains stories from the life history of Genevieve Fugal Wright. The subject for the project is the collector's great-grandmother. Analysis paper topics include: "Choice of Topic," "History as Folklore," "Methodology," "The Purpose behind Grandma's Stories," "Narrative Structure," "Strengths of Research," "Limitations of Research," and "Suggestions for Further Study." This 15 item collection includes the following stories: "Sammy," "The Singer Sewing Machine Man and Indian Costumes," "Prom Dresses and Dyed Satin," "Mother's Costumes, Mending and Service," "The One-Question Class," "Professor Pulsen," "The Prayer for a Mother," "Why Harold Shopped," "Homemade Bread, Canning and the Coon Chicken Inn," "Some of My Happiest Memories," "Labor Day was a Day for Labor," "Washing, Drying, Ironing and Starching," "Wash Day and Frozen Laundry," "Tab Choir," and "Church, Pianos, programs and Family Singing." Included with this project is an audio disc recording of the topics featured here. Collected by Lindsey Wright, Diedre Paulsen's ENGL 391 class, Spring 2008. Includes a compact disc.
