Mantyla examines advice passed down from married to engaged women across generations. From these pieces of advice, Mantyla analyzes not only the wisdom of what is being shared, but also the personality and points of view that reveal much about the advice giver. While predominately about marriage, some advice on raising children is also included. Created by Nikki Mantyla while enrolled in Jacqueline Thursby's English 495 class during summer semester of 2003.
