Scope and Contents

Materials contain a brief memoir written by Erik York of his World War II experiences serving in the U.S. Marines Corps as a radioman on an airplane. There is also an email from his son Neil to Don Norton about interviewing York. Neil's email also gives a brief overview of York's military history. In the memoir York explains many photographs from his personal photo album; Neil's email explains that his photo album could be used as a prompt in the interview because York's memory was beginning to fail. The photo album is not contained in the folder. Dated 2006-2007.
