Scope and Contents

Contains newsclippings for 28 newspaper articles on Mayan discoveries and American Indians. Budget for 1922 field work at Tayasal. 1921 agreement of Gates' purchase from the American Art Association. 1918 agreement of Gates' purchase of Mexican manuscripts from the Anderson Galleries. Gates' identification issued in 1920 by the Carnegie Institution of Washington. 1939 hand-written and typed copies of a statement by Gates on his life's work.
