Tanner discusses the actions and traditions initiated in each subject's family that made him/her feel that they were special and loved while growing up. Through the examination of both her own family members as well as students from across the United States who attend Brigham Young University, Tanner seeks to give the reader a more diverse collection of the happy memories of the childhoods of others.
