Scope and Contents

Materials contain papers relating to the military service of Wallace Wilcox regarding his service in the Merchant Marines during World War II. Letters written to the Saints at War project relate some of Wilcox's experiences. He spent the entire time with the Merchant Marines traveling all over the world to deliver supplies to the war effort. There are many military records, some photocopied, some original, contained in the folder, as well as many photocopied articles. There are also papers relating to the military service of Wilcox's wife Jean, who served in the U.S. Navy WAVES. Dated 1942-2002.
