Scope and Contents
Material contains papers relating to Joseph W. Dailey's service in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1941-1973. Describes his participation in operations in Eastern New Guinea, Bismarck Archipelago, and the Western Caroline Islands during World War II and his service in the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Contains a photograph of Dailey in 1973 and a military history of Dailey written in 1973. Also contains a chapter about Dailey from "Uncommon Men: The Sergeants Major of the Marine Corps" by John C. Chapin. Dated 1973, 2007.
