Scope and Contents note

Spann charts the changing responses to certain wedding gown traditions and describes how the wedding dress industry in Utah has evolved to adapt to specific needs of the high quantity of members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the area. She analyzes the degree to which the mother of the bride and the groom are involved in the dress shopping and describes the ways Utah bridal stores have adapted to the styles and standards of the predominantly Latter-day Saint culture in the area. Created by Heidi Spann when she was enrolled in Eric Eliason's English 391 course in Winter 2005.
