Biographical History note
Evan O'Neill Kane (1861-1932) was a Pennsylvania physician and philanthropist.
Evan O'Neill Kane was born on April 6, 1861 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the third child of Thomas L. Kane and Elizabeth Wood Kane. He attended Jefferson Medical College and graduated as a physician. In 1897 he married Lila Rupert, and they had seven children. In the late 1800s he founded the Woodside Hospital in memory of his father. Kane died in Pennsylvania on April 11, 1932.
