Scope and Contents note

Materials contain papers of Gordon Cox regarding his service in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1943-1946 in the Pacific Theater. He also served in Korea from 1950-1951. Contains photographs taken in Korea from 1950-1951, a letter written by Cox about his missing U.S. Navy medical record, another letter describing Cox's service on a tank landing ship (LST), handwritten descriptions of Cox's religious experiences, a photocopied newspaper article about Cox, a photocopy of a leaflet from the United States warning the Japanese to surrender, a copied photograph of Cox's ship, and copied military certificates. Dated 1945-2002.
