Materials include written memoir of Wendell Johnson regarding his service in the U.S. Navy during World War II, the Korea War and the Vietnam War. Describes his assignment to a refrigerator ship during World War II, caring for the men on board and helping to get meat and ice cream to the service men. Recounts how he got out of the U.S.Navy when the war ended, but was called up again to during the Korean war. Describes his work helping to deliver many babies in the United States during the war. Dated approximately 2000-2010.
