Scope and Contents note

Material contains a brief typed memoir of Roan McClure's life before and during his military training. Also contains the combat and spiritual experiences that McClure had while serving in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Included is a transcription of the oral interview with McClure conducted by Bob Freeman. Contains photocopied photographs of McClure and his time in Vietnam. Also contains a packet called "The Soldier Saint" which consists of inspirational talks and messages, Latter-day Saint handbooks, programs for church meetings, and poems. Dated 1970-2002.
