Contains an account written by Steven Brown regarding his service in the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps during the Iraq War. Relates the story of an Iraqi "chicken farmer" who was treated by the Navy nurses. Explains that the Iraqi man had held and perpetuated the opinion that Americans were evil until he was injured and noticed that he was receiving the same care that the Americans were receiving. Describes the emotions of the Iraqi man and his efforts to convey the reality of the American soldiers to other injured Iraqi patients. Donated to the Nurses at War Project. Dated approximately 2003.
