Moon explores the purpose and themes of proverbs that parents tell to their children. Explains how proverbs educate, reinforce beliefs, maintain social control, act as a release valve, and express identity. Explores how different generations use proverbs and how different attitudes exist towards proverbs. Discusses why some families use proverbs more than others. Created by Kelcy Moon while enrolled in Eric Eliason's English 391 class during fall semester of 2002 at Brigham Young University.
