Material contains two copies of an account of the U.S.S. Enterprise disaster on January 14, 1969, written by David J. Ferrell. Describes Ferrell's service in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Enterprise Air Craft Carrier during the Vietnam War as an Aviation Electronics Technician. He helped to maintain the many planes that were on the ship. Relates his experience on the day of the diaster. File also contains Ferrell's participant information sheet, an article from the Latter-Day Saints Church News about new stake presidencies (Ferrell had been called to be a counselor in the stake presidency), an El Paso newspaper from 1999 with an article about the U.S.S. Enterprise disaster, and photocopied photographs of a patch and the U.S.S. Enterprise on fire. Dated 1992-2002.
