Materials contain a memoir written by Louis Miller about his military service in the U.S. Air Force from 1948 to 1971. Recounts memories of World War II from his childhood. Describes playing the trumpet and the French Horn for the bandsman school at Bolling Air Force Base in Washington D.C. Recounts marrying Dolly Morgan. Recalls working as an Organizational Supply Staff Sergeant in Alaska. Discusses his assignment as technical sergeant at Webb AFB in Texas, his duties in aircraft maintenance at Loring AFB, Maine, and temporary duties in Spain and Okinawa. Describes several experiences he had as maintenance flight chief in Thailand during the Vietnam War. Discusses his opinion that "the military is whatever you want to make of it." Mentions service assignments in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in each of his locations. Dated September 26, 2004.
