Materials contain the transcription of a presentation given by Colonel John Norton, Jr. to Ray C. Hillam's Vietnam class. He describes himself as coming from a "military family", and outlines the careers of his father and grandfathers. He describes personal misgivings due to media treatment of Vietnam, but in 1971 Norton confirmed his request to be sent to Vietnam. Also describes his personal experiences he had while serving in Vietnam. Includes the story of his conversion to the Latter-Day Saint faith, which he attributes directly to his time in Vietnam. Dated January 11, 1988.
