Scope and Contents note
Gives an explanation of the history of Icelandic members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who settled in Spanish Fork, Utah. Explains the family's efforts to overcome the unfriendliness of the Mormon settlers who were already there. Discusses how different aspects of her grandparents' home reflects the family's heritage. For example, the large dining room window with a beautiful view of the mountains reflects her family's love of the outdoors, and the garden outside the house is a reminder of the family's self sufficiency and generosity. Describes the family's pride in their hard work in cultivating the land and building their home. Created by Kami Anderson while she was enrolled in Jill Terry Rudy's English 391 class during Fall Semester 2000.
