Scope and Contents
Contains correspondence dated between 1924 and 1955, primarily between Alice Hatch and her son, David B. Gottfredson. Topics include David B. Gottfredson's medical school, work as a doctor, and service in the United States Army prior to and during World War II. Mother and son also discuss the matters of other family members, Alice Hatch's temple work, financial issues, and health problems. Letters between 1934 and 1940 include some correspondence between David B. Gottfredson and his wife, Irma Grainger Gottfredson. Also contains some 1989 correspondence that relates to the collection and organization of the 1924-1955 correspondence. Materials created between 1924 and 1989.
