Scope and Contents

The cover sheet is folded to contain several assorted legal documents, notary statements, and notarized letters entailing the history of ownership of the house and income of Guadalcanal, Spain.

The cover sheet contains a summary of the intent of the documents. The summary states: "Acts with the Curia Eccles.a Madrid between Sr. D. Ercole Sfondrati, Count of the Riviera, Caval.o Order of Santiago and the Count of Niebla D. Gaspar Alfonso Perez de Guzman el Bueno for the commendation of the villa Guadalcanal granted to D. Conte of the Riviera, and opposed by D. Count of Niebla". The cover letter dates the contents of the documents to range in date from 1649 to 1659.
