Mentions naming traditions that are connected to family history, religion, ethnic cultural tradition, or foreign countries that have special significance to the parents. Explains the concern of some parents that their child's name will be too difficult to pronounce for people in the culture where the child will be raised. Created by Nyla Crandall while she was enrolled in Jill Terry Rudy's English 392 class during Fall Semester 2002.
